I have been a Florida licensed Realtor in the same area since 1988. In all that time my service ethics remain grounded even as the paperwork mounts.
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and grew up in New York City. Before I became a Realtor, for the last half of my life, I was a classical vocalist, a marketing executive, and an International Purser with Trans World Airlines.
Since October 2016 I have been licensed under Sunshine Professional Realty Corp. Thus I am a Florida Real Estate Broker who holds a license under another brokerage or entity, which is Sunshine Professional Realty Corp.
What you get with me is one licensed person. I answer my own phone and invest all I have in my business: no call center, no virtual assistant. You come first. Whatever your goal or your project, I will do my research before I ever offer an opinion or guidance.
Since the Surfside condo collapse, I have guided sellers through the chaos that followed in that market. Condo ownership has historically been the most popular type of ownership in the state of Florida. The last five years have been challenging for us. With condos, I am experienced on both sides: as a Realtor working with condo owners, and as a condo owner, Treasurer and Association mentor through reorganization, new State mandates involving Structural Integrity and Reserve requirements, and more recently hurricane recovery.
Zooming in on my area of expertise, I work independently to represent owners in three contiguous communities on this St. Pete Beach barrier island: Pass-a-Grille/Don Cesar, Vina del Mar, and Belle Vista.
For a single-family sale, my familiarity with the area and my place in the local community translate into caring, knowledgeable and experienced support.
If the focus is condominium, there is a lot more than title that changes hands: Association membership, shared amenities, shared expenses, a budget, a Board, financials, Reserves (savings), rules and regs, and management, in addition to surrounding community concerns. If the condo sale is financed, the entire project must be qualified, not just the buyer. Knowing what to do next, and when, is paramount, not only to success, but also to basic peace of mind.
My credentials include the fact that I actually write articles about what I do. These may not seem glamorous at first glance, but they often provide extraordinarily useful information. One piece I published under my own name, reproduced by a local magazine in January 2024 with my permission, is not lifestyle copy at all. It is a long, patient walk through what a buyer should ask about a Florida condominium: how the building's inspections came out, how the reserves were funded, and how the association is paying for what it has been told to fix. In it I also describe arranging a corporate loan as Treasurer of my own historic nine-unit condominium in Pass-a-Grille for essential structural updates and repairs.
